A Nantes-based illustrator and former spatial designer, Capucine Pageron found in ceramics a natural extension of her work with space, form, and drawing. Through her training as a ceramicist, she developed a universe shaped by her graphic identity, where line enters into dialogue with material.
Capucine Pageron creates utilitarian and sculptural objects in stoneware and porcelain, inspired by old and vernacular objects that she reinterprets. Irregular forms, soft tones, and the visible trace of the hand reflect a sensitive approach, far removed from industrial perfection, placing her work at the crossroads of art, design, and craftsmanship.
At Makers Editions, you will find her collection of hand-shaped porcelain illustrated in blue, echoing antique Asian and European porcelain traditions. Each piece is hand-drawn using a metallic oxide pencil after the first firing, then covered with a transparent glaze. Every object and illustration is unique, inspired by rural landscapes and scenes from everyday life.
