The studio, founded by South Korean-born designer Inhee Ma, creates handcrafted pieces made by hand in France. She primarily works with high-fired grogged stoneware. The interior of each object is glazed with a glossy finish, while the exterior is intentionally left raw, highlighting the natural texture of the clay.
Her aesthetic is rooted in a “minimalist wabi-sabi” approach: simple forms and clean volumes that emphasise the beauty of imperfection, combining the functionality of everyday objects with artistic sensibility.
Each piece embodies a subtle presence in space, turning everyday use into an aesthetic experience. INI’s style reflects the artist’s genuine commitment to the sensory qualities of clay and craftsmanship. Minimalist yet rich in cultural references, her pieces play with textures, scale, and silhouette. The gesture remains visible, the material alive.
