A ceramic artist based in Lyon, Alix Liegey founded Lalile Création in 2020, a name inspired by her childhood nickname that symbolises a return to spontaneity and creative joy. Her work explores ceramics as a way of conveying positivity and poetry through colourful and distinctive objects.
Her emblematic piece, the brick, handcrafted in stoneware, has become the signature of her universe. Each brick is unique, numbered, and glazed on the inside, blending function with artistic expression. Inspired by the format of food packaging bricks, they are designed to be both utilitarian and sculptural, questioning the way we perceive an everyday object that has become invisible. Alix plans to create 1,000 pieces, each carrying a particular intention.
Her work brings together artisanal technique, thoughtful design, and childlike imagination, transforming an ordinary object into a symbol of emotion, playfulness, and curiosity.
