Studio BISKT

Studio BISKT, founded in 2018 at the intersection of art and design, brings together French ceramicist Charlotte and Belgian designer Martin. Their practice is distinguished by the exploration of clay extrusion, a technique that pushes material through a mould to create continuous and complex forms.

In their approach, marked by a tension between industrial control and artisanal unpredictability, each object results from a dialogue between hand and machine. Their collections revolve around bold volumes: “Tulumba” vases, “Balik” furniture, where extruded clay reveals ribbed surfaces, organic textures, and modular assemblies.

Their work questions the tradition of ceramics while projecting it into contemporary design — the object becomes a functional sculpture, as much an instrument of formal research as of everyday use.
