Tim Teven is a Dutch designer whose work explores the relationship between raw materials, manufacturing processes, and final form. His practice is centred on small-scale industrial experimentation: his objects often emerge from metal sheets that are cut, folded, or welded, deliberately revealing the traces of technical gestures and assembly.
Tim Teven’s formal language is distinguished by a direct and structural aesthetic: exposed metal surfaces, visible welds, and simple, geometric volumes. This approach highlights the constructive logic of the object, where every fold, joint, or reinforcement contributes both to the stability and visual expression of the piece.
Through this work, Tim Teven questions the boundaries between industrial design and artisanal craftsmanship. The result is a body of work with a raw and honest aesthetic, where the manufacturing process becomes a central element of the object’s form and character.
